It is a pleasure to share this great news that Canadian international midfielder Shamit Shome signed with FC Edmonton of the Canadian Premier League after spending 4 years with Montreal Impact. He started his professional career with FC Edmonton in 2016 before getting drafted by Montreal Impact in 2017.

It is a matter of pride for us as Edmontonian, and as Bengalis of Edmonton that our own star player has come back home to play for FC Edmonton with a hope to make an impact in the Canadian premier league.

His return has made news in the local media including Edmonton CTV and Global news and has brought in a lot of excitement in Edmonton Football scene and in the Canadian premier league.
